Notes |
1 |
Anne, Charlotte and Emily Brontë used the pseudonyms Acton,
Currer and Ellis Bell to disguise the fact that they were women. |
2 |
Anneka is given a lift by Land Rover from the Brontë Parsonage
to Haworth Station, and then rides on the footplate of K&WVR steam loco
43924 one stop to Oakworth. |
3 |
Off-screen, Anneka incurred the wrath of lock-keeper Barry
Whitelock because she arrived at the locks over an hour after the Treasure Hunt
planners had predicted, due to unforeseen delays during earlier stages of the
treasure hunt. By the time she arrived, there was a long queue of boats waiting
to get up and down the staircase of locks. |

Olicana was the Roman name for Ikley. |
