Notes |
1 |
Anneka has to take a speedboat to get to a yellow buoy that’s
attached to a lobster pot containing the clue. |
2 |
“Mad-dog timing” refers to the song “Mad dogs and Englishmen
go out in the midday sun” – midday is also the time that the castle’s cannons
are fired. Also a cornet is a brass instrument, hence “fortified by the sound
of brass” refers to Castle Cornet. |
3 |
Victor Hugo lived at Hauteville House for 15 years, whilst
he was in exile. The clue is hidden in a book on his desk, in the study at the
top of the house. |
4 |
Anneka has to abseil down the concrete tower to the third
look-out slit, where the treasure (a small trumpet) is located. |
